OK-biobased is the environmental protection label for bio-based low-carbon products in Belgium. 

After the manufacturer of biological products has obtained the certification, 

the label can be attached to the outer package of the products or the products, 

so as to distinguish it from common petrochemical products.

 Star Classification 

It defines bio-based materials based on the content of biological carbon, 

and evaluates the percentage of biological carbon content and total carbon content. 

The standard is ASTM D6866, and the materials are differentiated by stars. 

It is the authoritative certification label of bio-based materials in the European Union.

A certified product has a 1-star logo indicating that the product contains 20% to 40% biochar, 

2 stars 40% to 60%, 3 stars 60% to 80%, and 4 stars that contain more than 80% biochar.

 What is the motive of creating "OK-biobased "? 

As a result of the increased environmental awareness among customers, there is a growing market for products on a basis of renewable raw materials. 

And that environmentally conscious motivation on the part of customers is exactly the reason why there is a need for an independent, 

high-quality guarantee of the renewability of raw materials. The “OK biobased” certification meets that need perfectly.

OK - biobased program aims to help companies or dealers improve the market competitiveness of renewable products, 

better guide consumers choose environmental protection products. 

This program began in September 2009 and was initially targeted only at product material manufacturers. 

Since January 2010, OK - biobased program began to face all the consumers of the final product.
